Stage 1 - Download your reset software

1. Please download your reset using the link provided by email.
2. Save the downloaded zip file onto your desktop.
3. Create a new folder on your desktop
4. Extract the files from the zip file into the new folder you created.

The zip file is now no longer required.

Stage 2 - Enable Tech Mode and turn on Flash Upgrade

1. Switch the Printer on and connect it VIA USB to your PC.
2. Wait for the Ready mode on the printer
3. Press the following keys in quick succession: MENU # 1 9 3 4 MENU

If pressed correctly Tech mode appears on the LCD display.

Enable this option: TECH MODE - DATA SETUP - F/W UPGRADE - ON.

After enabling the flash upgrade you can continue (otherwise the fix will not work)

Stage 3 - Transfer the reset software from your PC to the printer

Open the NEW folder created on your desktop ==> click the file FIXchip.bat ==> opens a DOS window ==> wait for the transfer of the fixes in the printer (1-120 minutes)

WARNING: at this stage Do not turn off the printer - wait for the automatic restart of the printer (1-120 min)

When the transfer is complete, the printer will automatically reboot

Cover the four toner chips with TAPE (scotch adhesive) ==> The printer is now ready for printing without chips. (Toner levels will be marked at 100%)

• The transfer to your printer must be from a PC/laptop running windows
• Do not remove the toner cartridges that you printed the report configurations for.
• Do not turn off the printer during transfer operations.
• Do not use the PC during transfer operations
• Do not allow any printer updates from Samsung after installing the reset
