HP Color LaserJet 9500 Toner cartridges and drum reset chips
The HP Color LaserJet 9500 series was introduced in September 2003 as a replacement for the Color LaserJet 8500 (October 1998), and was targeted at small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs). Its OEM-rated print speed of 24 pages per minute (ppm) in both monochrome and color was a significant increase over its predecessor at just 6 ppm for color. The duty cycle was increased from 60,000 (8500) to 200,000, and the cartridge yield increased from 5,000 (5K) to 6,000 (6K) pages. Separate toner cartridges and drum units are utilized for each color for a total of eight (8) units. Both the toner cartridges and drum units require chips for correct printer operation.
