How easy is it to refill an empty cartridge?
The toner cartridges part nos: cartridge no. 45536413, 45536414, 45536415, 45536416used by the printer do not have a removable hopper cap - so our "Melt & Pour" method is the best way to refill these cartridges. Create a hole in the cartridge (in the correct place) and then you can refill the cartridge with toner. Our melting tool is the easiest way of making a hole in your empty cartridge. Once you have made the hole, you can pour the toner in and then seal the hole with strong tape. The cartridge also contains a small micro chip which should be replaced after refilling. The chip is easy to remove and replace.
Watch our OKI C911/C931/C941 refill instructions
Our refill kit includes:
- Compatible Toner powder
- Cartridge Reset Chip
- Pouring Spout
Page yield is 24,000 pages Black, 24,000 pages Cyan, Magenta, Yellow per refill - measured at 5% page coverage.
What is the role of toner reset chip?
The reset chip stores information on the cartridge part number, the page yield, and the geographic region. As the cartridge is used, the printer will store information on the amount of pages you have printed, the toner page coverage and the estimated toner powder remaining.. The printer will then use the information stored on the chip to determine when it should stop printing. The chip must be replaced after refilling for the cartridge to function.
We include a new chip with every refill kit. We can also sell the chips on their own should you need them.
What about the imaging drum?
Each toner cartridge is linked to a matching colour imaging drum. You do not have to change the drum at the same time as the toner cartridge. When the imaging drum needs to be replaced a message saying Replace image drum C, Y, M or K will be shown. The printer contains four image drums: cyan, magenta, yellow and black - one for each colour.
Can I reset the imaging drum?
Yes we have a drum reset chip that will reset the drum page count back to zero, so you can continue to use your existing drum unit. Use this link:
